Hoy hemos recibido una de las noticias más duras, musicalmente hablando, de los últimos años. Michael Jackson, el conocido como Rey del Pop, murió en el hospital UCLA Medical Centre de Los Angeles, su ciudad de residencia, tras una parada cardiorespiratoria y pasar algunas horas en coma. La noticia ha commovido al mundo entero, algo que nadie esperaba ya que tenía previsto empezar una nueva gira el próximo mes de julio, la que sería su gira de retorno a los escenarios, y preparaba un nuevo álbum con nuevo material. Desafortunadamente no volveremos a ver a uno de los cantantes que más discos ha vendido en la historia, más de 750 millones de discos en todo el mundo, sobre los escenarios. Un mito más que se une a leyendas de la música como Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain, Bob Marley o John Lennon, que también fallecieron en lo más alto de sus carreras, y no solo en el mundo de la música, también otras leyendas como el actor James Dean o la actriz Marilyn Monroe desaparecieron ante la sorpresa de muchos. A continuación hacemos nuestro pequeño homenaje a un hombre que cambió el mundo de la música, el del baile, y el del espectaculo en general, y que ahora sí, será recordado durante muchos años por temas como Thriller, incluido en su álbum Thriller (1982) del que vendió más de 100 millones de discos, haciéndolo el álbum más vendido de la historia, y haciendo de su videoclip uno de los más importantes, impactantes y innovadores del momento. Deja tras de sí un legado de otros grandes temas, algunos con su banda Jackson 5, con quien empezó en el mundo de la música, y otros ya en solitario como Billy Jean, Beat It, Black or White, Leave Me Alone, In The Closet o You Are Not Alone, entre otros muchos temas. Today we have received on of the worst news, musically speaking, in the last years. Michael Jackson, known as the King of Pop, died in hospital UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, his home town, after a cardiorespiratory stop and spend some hours in a coma. The news has shaken the entire world, something that nobody expected when he was planning to start a new tour the next July. The tour would have been his return to the stage and he was preparing a new album with new material. Unfortunately we will not see one of the singers who has sold more albums in history, more than 750 million albums around the world, on the stage. A myth that follows music legends like Elvis Presley, Kurt Cobain, Bob Marley or John Lennon, who also died at the top of their careers, not just in the world of music, also other legends as the actor James Dean or the actress Marilyn Monroe, who died young. Then we want to make our little tribute to a man who changed the world of music, world of dance and the entertainment in general, and now, he will be remembered for many years by songs such as Thriller, included on his album Thriller (1982 ) which sold over 100 million albums, making it the highest selling album in history, and making its videoclip one of the most important, powerful and innovative at all the time. He leaves behind him a big legacy of other great songs, some of them with his band Jackson 5, at the first of his career, and other songs as a solo artist such as Billy Jean, Beat It, Black or White, Leave Me Alone, In The Closet or You Are Not Alone, among many other hits. In Actual Music World we want to dedicate this post to him, a small tribute to his career.
