Well, Well, Well - DUFFY

Seguimos hablando de regresos musicales, en este caso el de Duffy, que vuelve con su segundo álbum de estudio después de su debut Rockferry, y de éxitos como Rain on Your Parade y Mercy. Su nuevo álbum se titula Endlessly y lanza "Well, Well, Well" como primer single, con el que ha alcanzado el #8 en Bélgica, #9 en Italia o #13 en Finlandia aunque se lanzará oficialmente el próximo 21 de Noviembre.

We are still presenting musical returns. In this case is Duffy who returns with her second studio album after her debut Rockferry and hits such as Rain on Your Parade and Mercy. Her new album is titled as Endlessly and she releases "Well, Well, Well" as the leding single, which have reached #8 in Belgium, #9 in Italy or #13 in Finland, although it will be oficially released the next November 21st.

Stepping Stone - DUFFY

La galesa Duffy lanzó como cuarto single de su álbum Rockferry el tema "Stepping Stone", y pese a haber lanzado posteriormente el tema Rain On Your Parade, parece que aún sigue entrando en algunas listas de Europa el tema anterior, que ya alcanzó el #3 en Grecia o #21 en Reino Unido.

The Welsh singer Duffy released as the fourth single from her album Rockferry, the song "Stepping Stone", and although the song Rain On Your Parade was released later, it seems that this song is still charting some European Charts with the previous song, which reached #3 in Greece or #21 in the UK.

Ayer se celebraron los Brit Awards, los premios más importantes de la industria musical británica, con Duffy como la gran ganadora de la noche, justo al contrario que Coldplay, que partían como uno de los grandes favoritos pero se fueron a casa con las manos vacías. Además pudimos ver actuaciones interesantes, como la banda U2 presentando su último tema.

Yesterday were held the Brit Awards, the most important awards in the British musical industry, with Duffy as the great winner of the night, just the opposite than Coldplay, who were one of the favourite bands to win but they did not win any award. Furthermore, we could see some interesting performances, like the band U2 acting their new song.

Ayer 8 de Febrero se celebró en el Staples Centre de Los Angeles la 51ª edición de los Premios Grammy, los grandes premios de la música mundial. Los grandes triunfadores de la noche fueron Robert Plant & Alison Krauss al conseguir 5 de los cinco premios a los que obtaban, además de Coldplay, con 3 de 7, o Kanye West con 4 de 8. Veamos uno por uno los ganadores de cada categoría, aunque debido a la gran cantidad de categorías que hay obviaremos las que tengan poco o nada que ver con la línea que sigue este blog.

Yesterday February 8th the 51st Grammy Annual Awards was held on the Staples Centre, Los Angeles, the Music's Biggest Night in the world. The great winners of the night were Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, and they won five awards, from the five categories where they were. Other winners of the night were Coldplay, with 3 of the 7 seven awards, or Kanye West with 4 of 8 awards of the categories where they were nomineed. There are a lot of categories so we only take a view to these ones which are related with the music line of this blog.

La cantante Duffy, una de las revelaciones de este año, después de temas como Mercy o Warwick Avenue, llega este 5º single de su álbum Rockferry, titulado "Rain On Your Parade". Esta canción se incluye en la re-edición de su disco, Rockferry: Deluxe Edition, como ya han hecho otros muchos artistas las últimas semanas.

Ya hay nuevo single de la que podemos decir, casi sin temor a equivocarnos, que ha sido la artista revelación de este 2008, o más bien lo sigue siendo, ya que mientras su primer single Mercy sigue aún triunfando por allí por donde pasa, Duffy edita el segundo single que conocemos de su álbum Rockferry, aunque realmente es ya el 3º que se extrae de él. El single es "Warwick Avenue" y sigue la línea de la cantante.
