Yesterday, November 5th 2009, we could see the EMA's (MTV Europe Music Awards) ceremony in the O2 of Berlin (Germany). It was hosted by Katy Perry again, and Beyonce was the great winner of the night, winning three of the most important awards. Por ello Leona Lewis lanzó su tercer single en América, el 2 de Febrero, aunque en Europa ya se conocen más temas de la cantante. El tema elegido es "I Will Be" una gran balada escrita, entre otros, por Avril Lavigne, con quien Leona Lewis hace una versión a duo en el álbum de la canadiense The Best Damn Thing. Normalmente dedicamos entradas a canciones que serán o son singles y que por lo tanto tienen una promoción detrás (más o menos importante), pero la de hoy es una excepción. Como mucha gente sabe, y quizá mucha otra no sabrá y por eso se lo digo ahora, Jesse McCartney, junto a Ryan Tedder de la banda OneRepublic, fueron los compositores de una de las canciones más importantes de finales de 2007 y sobretodo del 2008. La canción en cuestión es Bleeding Love de Leona Lewis, la que la lanzó al éxito, tanto en su país el Reino Unido como a nivel internacional, siendo número #1 en más de 19 países, incluyendo el Reino Unido, el Billboard americano, Irlanda, Canadá, Australia e incluso en España. Además quedarse en la #2 posición en otros tantos países como Suecia o Italia. En definitiva, Jesse McCartney, como ya he dicho uno de los co-compositores de la canción, también ha hecho su propia versión, incluyéndola como Bonus Track en su tercer disco, Departure. Mucha gente se quedará con la versión de Leona Lewis, otros preferirán la de Jesse, yo sinceramente me quedo con las 2 ya que Jesse McCartney le da un toque bastante más tierno y más romántico, pero el vozarrón de Leona Lewis es incomparable con la voz de Jesse, por lo tanto, cada una tiene su punto fuerte, así que opinad vosotros, ¿Con cual os quedáis?
