Conciertos / Tour: GOLDFRAPP, U2 & AMY MACDONALD

Durante los próximos meses, varios grupos y artistas de talla internacional visitarán España para promocionar sus nuevos trabajos. El primero de ellos, Goldfrapp, ha programado dos visitas a nuestro país para promocionar su último álbum de estudio Head First, con singles como Alive o Rocket. Durante las mismas fechas, la banda irlandesa U2 estará también en dos ciudades españolas presentando sus temas más conocidos y puede que alguna novedad. Para terminar el mes de Septiembre, la cantante Amy MacDonald visitará nuestro país en dos ocasiones presentando su último trabajo, A Curious Thing.

During the next months, many international artists and bands will be in Spain in order to promote their new albums. The first of them will be Goldfrapp. They have two dates in our country to present their last studio album Head First, with singles such as Alive or Rocket. During the same dates, the Irish band U2 will be also in two Spanish cities performing their most popular songs, and maybe some new material. Finally, this September will bring us Amy MacDonald in concert, with two dates in two different Spanish cities, promoting his last studio album, A Curious Thing.

Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour) - JAY-Z, RIHANNA, BONO & THE EDGE

Varios artistas han querido ser solidarios con Haití, tras la catástrofe que vivieron hace unos días. Uno de los mayores actos fue una gala donde participaron muchos artistas, como Jay-Z, Rihanna, Bono (de U2) y The Edge, que interpretaron una canción titulada "Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour) " destinada a recaudar fondos para enviarlos a Haití, incluída en un álbum con la misma intención, Hope For Haiti Now. Des de aquí les mostramos nuestro apoyo y deseamos que se recuperen lo antes posible. De momento la inciativa está cumpliendo, y ha llegado ya hasta el #3 en Irlanda y Suecia o al #6 en Noruega y Canadá.

Various artists want to help Haiti after the earthquake that affected the country some days ago. One of the biggest acts of solidarity was a ceremony where different artists, such as Jay-Z, Rihanna, Bono (from U2) and The Edge, who performed a song titled "Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour) " designed to raise funds and sent them to Haiti, included an album with the same purpose, Hope For Haiti Now. From here, we want to give support to the idea and we hope they could recover as soon as possible. So far, it has already reached #3 in Ireland and Sweden, or #6 in Norway and Canada.

Ayer 11 de diciembre, se celebró en el Palacio de los Deportes de la Comunidad (Madrid) la gala de premios de la radio española Los 40 Principales, en la que pudimos ver varias actuaciones de renombre y la entrega de los premios de cada categoría. Casi todos los premios fueron otorgados por votos del público, tanto de España como de otros países de Latinoamérica, como México, Colombia o Venezuela, y hay que destacar que Shakira y Black Eyed Peas se llevaron 2 premios cada uno. Pudimos ver actuaciones de grandes artistas internacionales como Robbie Williams, Mika o Nelly Furtado, entre otros. Veamos los ganadores de las categorías internacionales y españolas:

Yesterday, December 11, was held in el Palacio de los Deportes de La Comunidad (Madrid) the awards show from the Spanish Los 40 Principales, in which we could see some interesing performances and the winners of each category. Most of the awards were given thanks to the public votes, in Spain and other Latin American countries such as Mexico, Colombia or Venezuela, and we have to say that Shakira and the Black Eyed Peas won two awards. We could see acts by Robbie Williams, Mika or Nelly Furtado, among many others. Let's see the winners in the Spanish and Internacional categories.

Ayer, 5 de Noviembre de 2009, se celebró en el O2 de Berlín (Alemania) una nueva edición de los EMA's (MTV Europe Music Awards), una ceremonia presentada de nuevo por Katy Perry, y en la que Beyonce fue la gran favorecida, llevándose tres de los galardones más importantes. Además, hubo grandes actuaciones como la de Green Day, que abrió la gala, U2, Leona Lewis o Shakira. Los galardonados en las distintas categorías fueron (resaltadas en negrita):

Yesterday, November 5th 2009, we could see the EMA's (MTV Europe Music Awards) ceremony in the O2 of Berlin (Germany). It was hosted by Katy Perry again, and Beyonce was the great winner of the night, winning three of the most important awards. Después de los temas Get on Your Boots y Magnificent, ambos bastante más discretos de lo esperado en las listas de éxito del mundo entero, la banda irlandesa U2 lanza el tema "I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight" como tercer single del álbum No Line on The Horizon.

After the songs Get on Your Boots and Magnificent, both with less success than it was expected on the charts around the world, the Irish band U2 releases the song "I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight" as the third single extracted from their last studio album No Line On The Horizon.

Después de que Get on Your Boots, el primer single de su último álbum, haya tenido menos éxito del esperado, la banda irlandesa U2 lanzan el segundo single de No Line On The Horizon, titulado "Magnificent". El tema ha alcanzado ya el #5 en Irlanda, el #14 en Bélgica o el #42 en Reino Unido hasta la fecha.

After that the song Get On Your Boots, the first single from their last album, have reached less success than it was expected, the Irish band U2 releases the second single from No Line On The Horizon, titled "Magnificent". The song has reached so far #5 in Ireland, #14 in Belgium or #42 in the UK.

The Irish band U2 have released their new album, No Line On The Horizon, already a #1 in the leading charts worldwide, as United States or UK, and even in Spain. They will begin their promotional tour this month, and will do it in our country, where there are two dates, both in Barcelona, so far.

Ayer se celebraron los Brit Awards, los premios más importantes de la industria musical británica, con Duffy como la gran ganadora de la noche, justo al contrario que Coldplay, que partían como uno de los grandes favoritos pero se fueron a casa con las manos vacías. Además pudimos ver actuaciones interesantes, como la banda U2 presentando su último tema.

Yesterday were held the Brit Awards, the most important awards in the British musical industry, with Duffy as the great winner of the night, just the opposite than Coldplay, who were one of the favourite bands to win but they did not win any award. Una de las bandas de rock más importantes y legendarias de las últimas dos décadas vuelven con un nuevo álbum este 2009, el sucesor de How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb (2004). Este será su duodécimo álbum de estudio de U2 y se titulará No Line on the Horizon. Como single de presentación, lanzan "Get on Your Boots", que verá la luz como formato CD Single el próximo 16 de Febrero. Hace unas cuantas semanas que está a la venta como single digital, y ha alcanzado el #3 en Canadá o el #26 en Australia. Se espera que para su lanzamiento en formato CD llege a lo alto de muchas listas del mundo, como ya han hecho con muchos de los temas de su discografía.

One of the most important and legendary rock bands of the last two decades return this year with a new studio album, the successor of How To Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. This will be the twelfth album by U2 and will be titled No Line on the Horizon. As the leading single from the album they release "Get On Your Boots", which will be launched as a CD Single the next February 16th. The song is available since January as a Digital song and has reached #3 in Canada or #26 in Australia. Is expected that the song will reach the top of a big number of charts in the world, as other songs by the band discography had made many times before.
