On March 2nd was released the second single by the band Take That, extracted from their fifth studio album The Circus. After the relative success of Greatest Day, which was expected to become a great hit, the band released "Up All Night", which has reached so far #17 in the UK and #19 in Ireland, waiting for the release in other countries.
Ayer 12 de Diciembre, se celebró la gala Premios 40 Principales '08 en el Palacio de los Deportes de la Comunidad, en Madrid (España). Aunque Actual Music World se creó sobre la base de la música internacional anglosajona, tenía que hacer una pequeña mención a este evento nacional, y internacional por la influencia de la cadena de radio sobre Latinoamérica. Algo a destacar es que los premios fueron otorgados únicamente por votos del público, que pudo votar desde las páginas web de los diferentes países, aunque eso sí las candidaturas las dio la misma cadena. A excepción de varias de las actuaciones que pudimos ver (Beyonce, Anastacia, Take That, Craig David...) , la gala dejó mucho que desear, por lo menos desde mi punto de vista, y los presentadores que comunicaban los ganadores, en muchos casos no eran los adecuados para un evento como este. Desde aquí daremos un vistazo a algunas de esas actuaciones y a las categorías internacionales de fuera de latinoamérica, más que nada porque conocemos muy poco o nada a los premiados en las categorías de Chile, México, Colombia, Argentina, y otros más. Como era de esperar, la banda española El Canto del Loco fueron los grandes vencedores de la noche, ganando en cinco de las cinco categorías a las que optaban, así que hicieron pleno de premios. Otros premiados fueron Juanes, Coldplay o OneRepublic. Veamos los premiados de cada categoría, solo los de las categorías internacionales y alguna nacional donde aparezcan artistas de los que hayamos hablado o podamos hablar en el blog:

Yesterday, December 12, the show Premios 40 Principales '08 (40 Principales Awards) was held at the Palacio de los Deportes de la Comunidad, in Madrid (Spain). Although Actual Music World was created in order to talk about international music not in spanish, I had to make a small mention of this national and international event because of the influence of the radio station on Latin America. Something to highlight is that the awards were given by the public votes, voting from the websites of different countries, even though the candidates were given by 40 Principales. With the exception of the performances that we saw (Beyonce, Anastacia, CraigDavid, Take That...) , the show was quite bored and many of the presenters were not suitable for this type of event, in my opinion. Here we take a look at some of these performances and the winners of international categories. As everyone expected, the band Spanish band El Canto del Loco were the big winners of the night, winning five of the five categories for which they were nominees. Other winners of the night were Juanes, Coldplay or OneRepublic. Let's see the winners, only of the international categories and some of the national categories, not all them:

Tengo que reconocer que las actuaciones de ayer sí que estuvieron a la altura, y la presencia de divas de la música mundial como Beyonce o Anastacia, o bandas como Take That, Keane, junto a otros cantantes como James Blunt, Kate Ryan o Craig David, fueron grandes aciertos de los organizadores de la gala. Además, también grandes grupos nacionales actuaron, como El Canto del Loco, La Oreja de Van Gogh o Nena Daconte. Veamos algunas de esas actuaciones:
I must admit that the performances that we could see yesterday were so great, and the presence of divas of the world music as Anastacia and Beyonce, or bands like Take That, Keane, along with other singers like James Blunt, Kate Ryan or Craig David , Were great successes of the organizers of the show. In addition, large national groups have acted as El Canto del Loco, La Oreja Van Gogh or Nena Daconte. Let's look at some of these performances:
