DanceStroyer: Take Me - DREAMINFUSION

Si teníamos una sección para canciones con una proyección de éxito muy grande, el ChartBreaker, no podía faltar otra sección para los temas del mundo Dance y House que prometen hacer temblar el mundo. Esta misma semana iniciamos las listas Dance de Actual Music World, así que estrenamos también esta nueva sección, a la que llamaremos DanceStroyer. Supongo que la mayoría de vosotros haréis la deducción de que hemos puesto este nombre a la categoría combinando dos palabras, "Dance", porque es el estilo que dominará en esta sección y en la lista, y "Destroyer", para darle un mayor empuje.

We have a section to the songs which seems to be a great hit in the future, the ChartBreakers, and we could not miss a section to this Dance and House songs which will shake the world. This week we started with the Dance Chart of Actual Music World, so we start this new section too, which we call DanceStroyer. I supose you will deduct that this name is made combining two words, "Dance" because is the music that we will see here the most, and "Destroyer" to give them a point of importance.

Los primeros en obtener el "privilegio" de ser un DanceStroyer será la banda española Dreaminfusion. Hace ya muchos meses que nos presentaron su tema de presentación, Hello, y más tarde Simple Life (#1 en Actual Music World), dos canciones que obtuvieron mucho éxito en España. Ambas venían con un remix de Jaccot, y este tercer tema no será distinto. Se titula "Take Me" y como siempre, tenemos la versión original, y el remix de Jaccot que no varía mucho de la original. Desde aquí pensamos que será un gran éxito, y de hecho ya lo está siendo en nuestro país, y haber si desde aquí podemos darlos a conocer internacionalmente aunque sea a un grupo pequeño de gente.

The first to have the privilege to be a DanceStroyer it's the Spanish band Dreaminfusion. Many months ago we presented you their first song, Hello, and some later, Simple Life (#1 in Actual Music World), two songs that had a great success in Spain. Both songs had a remix by Jaccot, and this third song it's not different. Is titled "Take Me" and like the other two songs, we have the original one, and a remix by Jaccot, not very different than the original. From here we think it will be a success too, in fact, it's already being a success here, and we hope we could make they known internationally.

Hoy toca hablar de una de las canciones que tiene más probabilidades de llevarse el Oscar. Es la máxima favorita aunque Gran Torino y Down To Earth (Wall-E) le siguen de cerca. De momento se ha llevado ya unos cuantos premios entre ellos el Critic Choice Award. The Wrestler es la nueva canción de Bruce Springsteen para una banda sonora, como ya hizo en Dead Man Walking y Philadelphia. La canción acompaña y practicamente define un film que gustará a una mayoría, o debería hacerlo. Una película sobre un luchador a punto de retirarse, que da espectaculo y lucha pero que es un gran drama sobre la solitud, la vida... Imprescindible la película y la canción del Boss.

Today I'm gonna talk about one of the songs that are more likely to win the Oscar. Is the favorite but Gran Torino and Down To Earth (Wall-E) followed closely. At the moment, it took a few awards including the Critic Choice Award. The Wrestler is the new Bruce Springsteen song for a soundtrack, as he did in Dead Man Walkin' and Philadelphia. The song defines the film that most of the people will enjoy. The film is about a wrestler to retire, which show and fight but also is s a great drama which talks about solitude, life, fear ... Essential movie and song from the Boss.

Baditude - SPOON, HARRIS & OBERNIK

Los DJ's y productores Dave Spoon, Paul Harris & Sam Obernik se metieron en un estudio para producir esta canción titulada "Baditude" una auténtica obra maestra para algunos del electro actual. Hace ya algunos meses que fue lanzada pero no se la ha escuchado mucho por Europa que digamos, así que sigamos esperando.

The DJ's and producers Dave Spoon, Paul Harris & Sam Obernik worked together in a studio to produce this song titled as "Baditude", a big masterpiece of the current electro and dance world for many people. It was released some months ago but it has not got much success in Europe so let's keep waiting.

Hace poco os presentábamos el tercer single de Jay Sean, extraído desde su segundo álbum de estudio. El cantante ha re-editado este segundo álbum titulándolo My Own Way: Deluxe Edition con "Tonight" como primer single, el cuarto ya del álbum original. La canción se lanzará las próximas semanas tanto en formato digital como en CD, y en Estados Unidos junto a Lil Wayne, para introducirlo en el mercado americano.

Some days ago we talked about the third single by Jay Sean, from his second studio album. The singer has re-edited this album as My Own Way: Deluxe Edition with "Tonight" as the first single, the fourth one from the original. The song will be released digital and on CD the upcoming weeks, and featuring Lil Wayne in the USA.

La cantante americana Hilary Duff vuelve después de unos años con algún que otro éxito pero muy lejos de sus primeros éxitos internacionales como So Yesterday, Come Clean o Fly. Después de 3 álbumes de estudio y otras recopilatorios lanzó a finales de 2008 un recopilatorio con sus mejores éxitos titulado Best Of Hilary Duff, con los singles más importantes de su carrera. El álbum contiene algunos temas inéditos entre los que encontramos este "Reach Out (and Touch Me)" con varias versiones, una de ellas junto a The Prophet, y utilizando un sampler del tema Personal Jesus de Depeche Mode. Esta canción se lanzó en distintas fechas en Estados Unidos, Canadá y otros países, y este mes de enero lo lanzarán también en Reino Unido y Europa. Aunque no haya tenido mucho éxito de momento, nosotros apostamos por este tema y por ella, creyendo que aún tiene mucho que decir.

The American singer Hilary Duff returns after many years with a few number of hits, not as her first international hits such as So Yesterday, Come Clean or Fly. After her three studio albums and other compilations she launched an album with all her hits titled Best Of Hilary Duff. The album includes some new songs, and the first single is "Reach Out (and Touch Me)", with various versions, one of them featuring The Prophet, made with a sampler of the song Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode. This song was released on different dates in the USA, Canada and other countries, and this January will be released in the UK and Europe too. Although this song has reached a few success till now, we hope this song to be more successful.

Hace unos días os presentábamos el Top 40 de las mejores canciones Dance y House, y en general de música electrónica, más importantes del año 2008, y obviamente no podía faltar también un recuento de los mejores temas de todo el 2008, sin entrar en su estilo musical. Gran parte de las canciones pasaron por la primera posición de nuestra lista Oficial, y las que no lo hicieron, estuvieron cerca de conseguirlo.

* Las semanas que estuvo cada canción en lista, no tienen porqué pertenecer íntegramente al 2008, sino que puede ser que algunas canciones estén a caballo entre 2007-2008, o 2008-2009, pero clasificadas dentro de 2008 o por su fecha de lanzamiento o por el tiempo en que más éxito tuvo.

One of the most famous deejays in Europe, DJ Antoine, launches a new song. Known for songs as his last hit This Time in 2008, and for remixes to various producers, he releases "December", which begins to get success around european countries as Germany.

2008: TOP 40 Actual Music Dance Chart

Aún con la resaca de la fiesta de Fin de Año que seguro que la mayoría de vosotros vivisteis (en la que también me incluyo), os presentamos una lista con los 40 temas más importantes para nosotros en las pistas de baile europeas durante el año que acababamos de dejar atrás, es decir, el mejor dance y house del 2008. Como este año no hemos tenido una lista dance oficial, algo que arreglaremos este 2009, hemos basado esta lista en canciones que estuvieron en la lista Actual Music Chart oficial, y en temas que sabemos que han triunfado pese a no haber pertenecido a ella. Las posiciones más altas de las canciones que la tengan, pertenecen pues a la lista oficial.

Even with the hangover of New Year's Eve party, which surely most of you lived (included myself), we show a chart with the 40 most important songs for us in the dance floors around Europe and world during this year, we had just left, so, the best dance and house of 2008.

This year we hadn't had a formal dance chart, something we will change this 2009, we have based this chart on songs that were on the official Actual Music Chart, and on songs that we know that have been a great success despite not having charted in. The peak positions of each song is the peak position on the oficial chart.

BSO: Gran Torino (Gran Torino - Clint Eastwood & Jamie Cullum)

Después del parentesis navideño, seguimos con las que muy probablemente serán candidatas a mejor canción en los Oscar. En este caso se trata de la canción con el mismo título que el film Gran Torino. El film es el último en que Eastwood estará delante de las cámaras (o eso dice), y trata sobre un hombre que no evoluciona al ritmo de la sociedad y aun piensa en Vietnam, mientras vive rodeado de inmigrantes, un hombre con mucho genio y chapado a la antigua... Harry el sucio se ha hecho mayor... La canción no es la primera colaboración entre Eastwood y Cullum, pues en la banda sonora de Grace is gone también hicieron otra canción. En este caso Eastwood se anima a cantar y aunque no tiene voz ofrece un curioso contraste entre una voz vieja que ha vivido y la de un joven al que le queda mucho camino.

After the Christmas song post of the last week, we continue showing the candidate for best song at the Oscars. In this case it is the song with the same title as the film: Gran Torino. The film is the latest in Eastwood in front of the cameras (he said that) and it's about a man who does not evolve as the society does and still thinks about Vietnam, while he's living surrounded by immigrants, a man of genius and a grumpy man... Dirty Harry is old ... The song is not the first collaboration between Eastwood and Cullum, as the soundtrack of Grace Is Gone also made another song. Eastwood in this case is encouraged to sing and although he has no voice, he offers a curious contrast between an old voice that has lived and a good voice of a young who has a lot of things to do.

2008: Actual Music Nº 1's

Antes de nada, desearos a todos un feliz año 2009, que esperemos que sea tan bueno o mejor como este 2008, por lo menos musicalmente hablando.

Tal y como comentábamos ayer, el año 2008 ha dado mucho de sí, y si ayer os mostrábamos todas las canciones que habían sido MegaHit este año, hoy le toca el turno a cada una de las canciones que ha liderado la lista de Actual Music Chart en las últimas 52 semanas. Muchas de las que ayer veíamos en 2008: MegaHits repiten hoy como número 1 aunque hay algunas canciones que se colaron en el número 1 adquiriendo poco a poco importancia.
