Grandísimo éxito el que está teniendo el DJ y productor Michael Mind en toda Europa con sus producciones en los últimos meses. Después de Show Me Love 2008, y temas como Blinded By The Light y My Mind, vuelve con otra potente canción que empieza a tumbar Europa. En España, Alemaña y Francia ya la conocemos y seguro que en próximas semanas arrasará las pistas de baile de más países. El tema es "Baker Street", una versión de la canción de Gerry Rafferty del mismo nombre, del año 1978. Ahora Michael Mind la remezcla por completo y usa un sampler de ese mítico saxo para su producción.

The DJ and producer Michael Mind is having a great success around Europe with his last productions the last months. After Show Me Love 2008, and songs such as Blinded By The Light or My Mind, he returns with a new powerful song which begins to sound in Europe. Spain, Germany and France already know the song and sure that the next weeks it will be played in other countries. The song is "Baker Street" a cover version of the song, with the same title, by Gerry Rafferty on 1978. Now Michael Mind has remixed it keeping the sampler of this legendary saxo to his production.

Que Te Quería - LA QUINTA ESTACIÓN

La banda española La Quinta Estación (o La 5ª Estación) vuelven con nuevo álbum bajo el brazo, titulado Sin Frenos, cuyo primer single empieza a sonar en nuestro país con mucha fuerza y será posiblemente un gran éxito, no sólo aquí, sino también en muchos países de América Latina, donde ha alcanzado ya el #40 en Puerto Rico y aquí en España el #11 de la lista de singles. El tema se titula "Que Te Quería" y aquí teneis el videoclip.

The Spanish band La Quinta Estación (or La 5ª Estación) return with a new album titled Sin Frenos, and the leading single from this album begins to sound in our country very powerful, so it will be possibly a great hit, not only in Spain, so in some countries from Latin America is said to be a hit too. In Puerto Rico has reached #40 so far and the #11 in the Spanish Singles Chart. The song is "Que Te Quería" and here you have the video.

BSO: The Graduate (The Sound of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel)

Mike Nichols hacia su segundo largometraje, una película sencilla pero sincera que nos cuenta como una mujer madura y casada (Mrs Robinson) se encapricha de un recién graduado amigo de su hija, empezando así una insólita "relación" que supuso un avance en esa época. Además, el film supuso el salto al estrellato de un jovencísimo Dustin Hoffman. Pero sin duda si hay algo memorable de esta película es la banda sonora del duo de folk rock de los años 60 y 70 Simon & Garfunkel con canciones tan conocidas como la propia Mrs Robinson o una versión de Scarborough Fair. Para mí, la más destacada por su letra y por su música es The Sound of Silence.

Mike Nichols made his second film, a simple but sincere movie. It tell us how a mature and married woman, Mrs Robinson, get obsessed with a young graduate, a friend of her daugther, starting a strange "relationship". Futhermore, the film marked the leap to stardom Dustin Hoffman. But the most memorable thing of that movie is the Soundtrack of Simon & Garfunkel, a duo of folk rock during de 60s and 70s, with songs like Mrs Robinson or Scarborough. But for me, the most notable for its lyrics and its music is by The Sound of Silence.

Dead and Gone - T.I feat. JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE

El rapero T.I lanza nuevo single después de los éxitosos Whatever U Like y Live Your Life junto a Rihanna. El tema "Dead and Gone" es el cuarto tema extraído oficialmente de su álbum Paper Trail como single, aunque realmente son siete los temas que han sonado. Para el tema cuenta con la colaboración de Justin Timberlake, y desde que se lanzó en octubre, parece que es ahora cuando empieza a sonar, llegando al #11 en el Billboard Hot 100 o al #15 en Nueva Zelanda, entre otros.

The rapper T.I released a new single after the successful Whatever U Like and Live Your Live with Rihanna. The song "Dead and Gone" is the fourth single officially extracted as a single from the album Paper Trail, althouth has been played seven songs in airplay. For this song he features Justin Timberlake, and since it was released, the song seems to begin to be successful now, reaching #11 in Billboard Hot 100 or #15 in New Zealand, among others.

Absolutely Positively - ANASTACIA

Nuevo single de la cantante Anastacia. Hace unos meses os presentábamos I Can Feel You, el primer sencillo de su nuevo álbum Heavy Rotation. Ahora Kelly Clarkson vuelve con su cuarto álbum de estudio después de los exitosos Breakaway y My December, con sus también exitosos singles Behind These Hazel Eyes, Because of You o Never Again. El nuevo álbum de la joven americana se titulará All I Ever Wanted y su fecha de lanzamiento está previsto que sea el próximo 10 de Marzo. Como single de presentación nos presenta esta auténtica bomba de relojería titulada "My Life Would Suck Without You" que no tardará mucho en explotar. De hecho, entró directa al #97 en su primera semana en el Billboard Hot 100 de Estados Unidos, y en su segunda semana rompió records e hizo historia dando el salto más grande de la historia de esa lista hacia el #1, antes marcado por Womanizer de Britney Spears que subió des del #96 hasta el #1. La canción ha alcanzado también el #1 en Canadá y seguro que sigue alcanzando más números 1 alrededor del mundo. Así pues, Kelly Clarkson empieza pisando fuerte con este tema, lanzado el pasado 16 de enero tanto en Europa como en América y días después en otros países del mundo. Now Kelly Clarkson comes back with her fourth studio album after the successful Breakaway and My December, and its successful singles too Behing These Hazel Eyes, Because of You or Never Again. The new album by the young american singer will be titled All I Ever Wanted and its said to be released on March 10th. As the leading single from this album she released "My Life Would Suck Without You", a musical bomb which will explode soon. In fact, the song entered at #97 in the Billboard Hot 100 Chart in the United States, and a week later it jumped to the #1, breaking the record set by Britney Spears with Womanizer, which jumped from #96 to #1. Kelly Clarkson has also reached with this song #1 in Canada and sure it will reach more #1 positions in many charts in the world. She released this song on January 16th in America and Europe, and days later in other countries. This song will be very successful the next months surely.

Uno de los estrenos más esperados de estos primeros meses de 2009 es el nuevo álbum de The Fray, conocidos sobretodo por su canción How To Save A Life, incluida en la banda sonora de la serie Grey's Anatomy (Anatomía de Grey en español). Ahora vuelven con su segundo álbum de estudio homónimo titulado The Fray del cual han extraído "You Found Me" como single de presentación, lanzado en noviembre. La canción se ha incluido también en la BSO de la serie Lost (Perdidos)

One of the most expected musical returns at these first months in 2009 is the new album by The Fray, known basically for their song How To Save a Life, included in the Grey's Anatomy BSO. Now they come back with a new album titled The Fray, from which they have taken "You Found Me" as the leading single from the album, released on November. The song is also included in Lost's BSO.

Perfect Symmetry - KEANE

La banda británica Keane siguen de promoción con su nuevo álbum Perfect Symmetry. Precisamente el tercer single del álbum es la canción que le da título "Perfect Symmetry", lanzada el pasado 29 de Diciembre pero de momento con una aceptación bastante baja. Habrá que esperar para ver si consiguen mejores posiciones.
