Después de Keep On Rising unos meses atrás, y Get Shaky como Ian Carey Project, ahora lanza "Red Light". El tema es uno de los más pinchados en las emisoras de dance y house de nuestro país y si os gusta esta música, es una canción que no podeis dejar de escuchar por lo menos una vez.

After Keep On Rising some months ago, or Get Shaky as Ian Carey Project, releases "Red Light". La banda Hoobastank, conocida mundialmente por su éxito The Reason, lanzó en octubre el primer sencillo de su álbum Fornever, el sexto de su carrera. Como primer single lanzaron "My Turn", con un éxito más bien relativo, alcanzando el #31 en Japón, además de distintas listas Billboard.

Mi querido Frankie (Dear Frankie) es una de esas películas desconocido por la mayoría de público. Una película que desprende unos sentimientos muy nobles: amor, sacrificio, el miedo a volver a empezar... El film pertenece a esas películas que en la mayoría de ocasiones no llegan a estrenarse en España o pasan olvidadas sin pena ni gloria. Un film que cuenta con las interpretaciones de Emily Mortimer, una actriz fija en el cine independiente, y el ahora conocido Gerard Butler en una interpretación sorprendente, alejada de su personaje de acción. El film tiene una banda sonora a base de acústicos y melodías a piano. Personalmente destaco dos canciones Delicate de Damien Rice y Everyone will have their day, una bonita canción de Clarkesville

Dear Frankie is one of those movies unknown to most audiences. A film that shows some very noble sentiments: love, sacrifice, fear of starting over ... The film belongs to these films that in most cases fail in releases. A film which has theperformances of Emily Mortimer, an actress that appear mostly in independent film, and now known Gerard Butler in a striking performance, much different of his action character. The film has a soundtrack based on acoustic and piano melodies. Personally, I emphasize two songs: Delicate sung by Damien Rice and Everyone will have their day, a beautiful song sung by Clarkesville.

El rapero Akon lanzó el pasado mes de Enero el tema "Beautiful" como single desde su último álbum, Freedom. Después de Right Now (Na Na Na), en sus dos versiones, y I'm So Paid, este es ya el tercer single del álbum, también con dos versiones, una de ellas en colaboración con Colby O'Donis y Kardinal Offishall. De momento la canción ha alcanzado el #19 en Billboard Hot 100, #9 en Reino Unido o #16 en Canadá.

Hace tan solo unas semanas, mi compañera Gine posteó sobre la canción ganadora de un Oscar como la mejor Banda Sonora, y la ganadora fue esta canción, incluida en la película Slumdog Millionaire, en su versión original. La versión que se lanzará próximamente en Europa, que ya salió a la venta también en Estados Unidos y Canadá alcanzando el #15 y el #11 en sus respectivas listas de singles de momento, cuenta con la colaboración del quinteto Pussycat Dolls, con Nicole Scherzinger como líder. El tema se titula igual que el original, "Jai Ho (You are My Destiny) " y es de A.R. Rahman, su compositor. Así pues, este tema parece estar hecho para obtener éxito mundialmente, y de momento, lo está consiguiendo.

Some weeks ago, Gine posted about the winner of the Oscar for the Best Soundtrack, and this song was the winner of the award, in its original version. There's also a new version which will be released very soon in Europe, after reaching so far, the numbers #15 and #11 in the singles chart from USA and Canada, respectively, which features the band Pussycat Dolls, with Nicole Scherzinger. The song is titled as the original, "Jai Ho (You are My Destiny) ", by A.R. Rahman, the composer. Eventually, this song seems to be made in order to become a hit, and it is beggining to do so.

Stepping Stone - DUFFY

La galesa Duffy lanzó como cuarto single de su álbum Rockferry el tema "Stepping Stone", y pese a haber lanzado posteriormente el tema Rain On Your Parade, parece que aún sigue entrando en algunas listas de Europa el tema anterior, que ya alcanzó el #3 en Grecia o #21 en Reino Unido.

Mirando la película La Vida Secreta de las Abejas (The Secret Life of Bees), un drama bastante facilón, pronto resalta la banda sonora. Una banda sonora que mezcla melodias de Mark Isham con canciones de los principios de la música negra con canciones de grupos emblemáticos pero ahora ya casi olvidados como The Suprems o Four Tops.. Pero no os voy a hablar de estos hoy. Entre canciones de los años 60 y 70 se escondia un tema destacable de un grupo indie que mezcla pop y folk... Sam & Ruby, un dueto enriquecido por unas voces dulces masculinas y femeninas con la canción Heaven's my home.

Watching the movie The Secret Life of Bees, a drama a bit predictable soon highlights the soundtrack. A soundtrack that mixes melodies by Mark Isham with songs of the early black music from groups flagship but now almost forgotten as The Four Tops or The Suprems .. But I am not going to talk about those today. Between songs of the'60s and'70s was hiding one outstanding song of a group that mix folk and pop ... The duo Sam & Ruby, a duet by a male and female vocals with the sweet song Heaven's my home.

1, 2, 3, 4 - PLAIN WHITE T'S

El segundo single del álbum Big Bad World de Plain White T's, el segundo internacional aunque es su quinto álbum de estudio, fue el tema "1, 2, 3, 4" lanzado el pasado mes de Diciembre, aunque con poco éxito. Tan solo logró alcazar el #47 en la lista Billboard Hot 100.
